2005 - Travel Channel features the Grace Bailey

Catch our schooner Grace Bailey on the Boat Vacations segment of Vacation Challenge 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time, Thursday, Jan. 20 on the Travel Channel.

The daily show, which debuted in the fall, features three travel agents on each show. They visit with a family to discover its interests and then present the vacation they think will best fit the family's goal. The half-hour show includes about 10 minutes of presentations, including tips and insider information; a few minutes while the family decides; and footage shot on the trip.

Aimée Ricca, CTA, ACC, DS, owner and operator of Bonne Amie Travel in Rockport is one of the nine travel agents participating in the series and presents a 5-day trip on the Grace Bailey to a family seeking reconciliation. The segments are often repeated, so if you miss it on the 20th, watch the Travel Channel's TV listings for another showing. Will the family choose a cruise along the Maine coast, a houseboat trip on Lake Powell, or a Carnival Cruise? We're not permitted to tell you.

For the travel agent's presentation, the producers asked for footage from a movie made last summer during the first cruise taken by passenger Peter Eipers of Alabama. Of course, we hope some of it makes it through the final cut, and we'll be watching the credits at the end.
