The cook, usually the earliest riser on a windjammer, lights the wood stove about 4:30 AM. You will awake to the smell of coffee and baked goods wafting up from the galley.
An early morning snack is a delightful way to start your day. Hot coffee, tea, and juice are served on deck for early risers with fresh baked treats. Blueberry buckle, bran muffins, or sour cream coffeecake will hold you over till breakfast.
Cereal and fruit are always available at breakfast, which might include ham and eggs, blueberry pancakes and sausage, hot cereal or French toast with bacon.

Lunches are served on deck (weather permitting) buffet style. It stars one of our hearty down east/homestyle specialties - chowder, chili, spinach lasagna, ham, or stew - with salads, fresh baked breads, all topped off with fruits and sweet treats.

At dinner, we gather round the huge varnished galley tables to enjoy a delectable entrée such as a baked stuffed haddock, breaded chicken, or New England boiled dinner. There are always lots of fresh vegetables and salads and homemade breads and desserts.

A culinary highlight included on our four and five-day cruises is our traditional New England Lobster Bake, cooked over a driftwood fire on a deserted island - steamed lobsters, clams, corn, hot dogs, cheeses, salads and vegetable buffet… all topped off with roasted marshmallows and s’mores. see pictures
This festive meal is usually on the last night aboard. The grill is hot and there is plenty to eat. Steak, chicken, ribs and an assortment of vegetarian dishes and, if you’re lucky, some hand cranked ice cream.
On weekend and 3-day cruises, due to limited time, we combine these two great meals to give you our Surf & Turf Bar-B-Q. Plenty of steamed lobsters and steaks cooked just the way you like them.
